The New Zealand Blood Service (NZBS) is a national not for profit organisation that collects blood donations from volunteer non-remunerated blood donors for the treatment of patients in New Zealand.

NZBS needs to collect over 3,100 units of whole blood every week of the year to maintain a supply of blood and blood products for the healthcare of patients throughout the country. NZBS needs new donors. Only 4 % of New Zealanders currently donate blood, and over 42,000 people will need blood or blood products in New Zealand this year.

NZBS has 11 Donor Centres nationally, with Mobile Collection teams going out into the community and towns up to 5 days a week to collect blood. Whole Blood 11.00am - 6.30pm

Platelets 8.00am - 12.30pm

Plasma 10.30am - 1.00pm

Tuesday

Mobile (no whole blood collections in donor rooms)

Platelets 8.00am - 12.30pm

Plasma 8.00am - 2.30pm

Wednesday

Mobile (no whole blood collections in donor rooms)

Platelets 8.00am - 12.30pm

Plasma 8.00am - 2.30pm

Thursday

Whole Blood 8.00am - 2.00pm

Platelets 8.00am - 12.00pm

Plasma 10.30am - 1.00pm

Friday

Whole Blood 7.15am - 3.00pm

Whole blood late night first Wednesday of every month 8.00am - 8.00pm.
