The Diplomat Motel is a well established Christchurch Motel complex comprising of 12 spacious studio units and 4 family units, all ground floor, all with full kitchens and en suite and courtyard areas.

We are located on Papanui Rd in Merivale, 1.5 Km from the City Centre with a bus stop at the gate. We have Merivale Mall 300 metres from our Motel. There is a large Fresh Choice supermarket, award winning cafes, bars and restaurants all within a couple of minutes walk from our motel as well as McDonald's and other takeaway facilities.

We are a spacious motel in a garden setting with a solar heated swimming pool, a great Spa and a playground with swing slide and trampoline.

Our Studio units have either a King or a Queen bed and a single bed, full kitchen with oven & microwaves, ensuite bathrooms with shower, Sky Tv and DVD players. We also have interconnecting studio units.
Our Family units have a king bed (which can be split into 2 singles) in 1 bedroom and 2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom, some of our family units also have a sofa bed in the living room for the 5th guest. They have full kitchen with oven & microwaves, ensuite bathrooms with shower, Sky Tv and DVD players.

We are the closest motel to St Georges Hospital and we cater for hospital guests and their needs.

We are also the closest motel to Nurse Maude, Merivale Mall, Laser Vision, Elizabeth House & the Hyatt Chambers

Excellent accommodation facilities, reasonably priced. We turned up there really late without a booking they were very obliging let us have a unit, very tidy. King size bed in main room 2 singles in other room, private court yard with outdoor furniture.
