Allow 5 hours (up to 3 hours underground) Maximum 6 clients per tour,normally 10 photos or more of each client .Photos can be viewed and a cd purchased at the end of the tour
BLACKWATER RAFTING with Rap Raft n rock
27 metre abseil into a huge chasm in the Earth, experience the refracted light highlighting the amazing plant and rock formations making this a truly awesome descent. Then you will cave upstream to the cathedral-style 400sq metre cavern where you will witness a glow-worm display
This is followed by a blackwater rafting trip downstream floating through caverns filled with even more glow-worms that fill the cave with a soft blue light. Then there is the challenge of moving through the cave with the option of squeezing through passages until you reach the exit. The final challenge is a breathtaking 20-metre climb back to the rest of the world where a well-deserved hot shower then check out the photos of your tour over a hot cup of soup.
BACKPACKERS
Come and stay in our farmhouse backpackers at 95 Waitomo Caves Road. It is a bungalow surrounded by farmland. Bunk, twin share and double rooms available. It has internet, Indoor fireplace(winter), electric blankets (winter), Made up beds, Outdoor fire place and BBQ area in summer. We also have a fully equipped kitchen and heaters in all rooms plus a family room option if required.
