Highly recommend their duck degustation menu with accompanying wines - sublime! Old character cottage, excellent service and the best duck confit w haricot vert in Wellington. Aim to be back very soon.

Welcome to the cuisine of Prigord and the South West, France's greatest gastronomic region.

Under the oaks and chestnuts are the famous black truffles and cpes mushrooms while in the cleared land you will find the great Limousin and Charolais beef animals, milking goats for the renowned cabecou cheeses, vineyards the produce the famed wines of Monbazillac and Bergerac, and course, ducks and geese for confit, magret and foie gras.

To this great base we bring the best of New Zealand fresh and seasonal produce.

Great little intimate restaurant. A group from work went there for lunch and most people really enjoyed their meals. The few that commented was more about the portion size but they still enjoyed their meal! Great service. Could be a bit pricey for lunch but they have lunch specials so works out well.

Duck in to Le Canard and have the best duck dinner you're ever likely to have outside France's Sud-Ouest.Air dried duck, rillettes, duck mousse, foie gras to die for.... If you haven't tried this great little restaurant it's time you did. Intimate, atmospheric, without pretension, it deserves every accolade. The formule lunch at $20 has to be the best bargain in town. Allez vite!
