Grasshopper Restaurant is the result of many years of creating a new bench mark in Thai cooking making it truly tried and tested.

No doubt Thai Food has become a mainstream cuisine in many parts of the world including New Zealand further enhancing the already flavorsome taste and freshness of Thai food."Modern Thai Food" simply means fusing traditional Thai ingredients with carefully selected local ingredients to form a beautiful fusion of taste.

Our banquet style tables are designed to get the feel of Thai style dining where each cuisine is shared around the table and the open kitchen reminds you of the beautiful aroma of Thai cooking as you walk along the busy streets of Thailand.

* Parking : valet parking at Stamford Plaza standard rate $25.00 but dine in at grasshopper pay only $15.00 if you spend over $100 we will subsidise a further $5.00 of your parking.

Thinking of what to eat just walk pass this restaurant and hesitate to give it a try but my husband said should try it so we did. We were please we've make a right decision. It was great place very busy on the night with BD and hen party. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere very much will definitely be back.

Had a business lunch here this week and thought the restaurant and food was excellent and very reasonably price. Would defintely recommend and will be going back.

A lovely restaurant. The food was superb and we LOVED the drinks. Ambience and service great. If you want a nice night out at reasonable prices this is one nice, classy restaurant.

Lovely feel to this place. VERY modern, chic, funky (yet classy) decor with an intimate feeling, despite the vastness of the place. The food was exquisite, posing modern twists on traditional Thai food, yet not the least bit gimmicky. I feel as though this is a true undiscovered gem of Auckland city.

Great place to go on the weekend, esp. with the Live band and music which are being belted away. Food is awesome , great service, and portions are large too

This is not your average Thai place – the modern interior and beautiful presentation add to the wow factor and the food with slight western twist is very memorable.

A real gem right in the heart of the City, Grasshopper has become a regular destination for us. Handy location, just accross the road, but the main attraction for us is the scrumptious meal they serve up. My favourite is their $15 lunch. I always come away satisfied. Highly recommended.

I've been to grasshopper last week and find it's very interesting. It's such a big restaurant the decor is very modern with open kitchen. You can see all the chefs. I order a quick lunch and with the price of $15.00 it's such a great value and good quality. I wonder why they so busy.I will definitely go back their again with group of friends.
