The Sharma family whose orgin from New Delhi, the Capital of India, were inspired to launch their 1st venture of Indian Cuisine in Auckland more than a decade ago.

With experienced highly qualified Chefs brought in from native India, successfully opened three other branches in Hamilton,Tauranga,and Kerikeri.

Manager Sachin has been diligently involved in the groups Food Service activities, and "New Delhi Auckland" over the past 5 years. He has enjoyed the responsibility behind their simple philosophy of "promoting Indian Cuisine" .

RIPPED OFF - WARNING... Have been a weekly visitor to New Delhi all year!! Tonight's experience ensures that I will never go back, after they proved they are scamming $$ out of customers. I ordered two vodka lemon limes a standard "double" thinking they were normal "double" price of around $8. Imagine my shock when I go to pay that I have actually been charged $35.00 for TWO vodka lemon limes!!! Took this up with the manager as for that price I could buy a whole 40 ounce of vodka, and he told me there "was no manager on site tonight" even though I have dined there on multiple occasions and recognised him as the owner. From now on will take my business elsewhere, there are plenty of great Indian restaurants who appreciate their locals and do not overcharge to make a profit.
