Anchorage Park Community House is situated in Pakuranga, close to Ti Rakau Drive and the Westfield Pakuranga Shopping Plaza. The house is on the grounds of the Anchorage Park Primary School and is in a very secure environment. It has two large rooms that accommodate up to 50 persons in each room. The rooms are supplied with tables, chairs, kitchens, whiteboards and a child friendly enclosed play area is attached to the back room, ideal for playgroups. Room hire is $8 per hour to community organisations.
The community house offers courses and programmes each term which include, Sustainable Gardening, Cooking for todays lifestyle, Embroidery for advanced and beginners, Tai Chi, Exercise for fun and fitness, HUGS - the alternative to diet (a non diet approach to health and well being), U2 Driver Development (for learner drivers and their coaches - often parents). Most courses are offered FREE. A monthly Arthritis clinic is held at the house and is a one on one free consultation.
