That is why we offer a range of child and family services and early childhood care and education in communities throughout New Zealand. We also speak out for children because it is vital that their best interests and needs are addressed.

Barnardos early childhood care and education (childcare) are:
- Barnardos Early Learning Centres
- Barnardos KidStart home-based care and learning
[both services offer up to 20 hours free for three and four year olds.]
- Barnardos Number One Nannies (Wellington only)
All services are approved by the Ministry of Education and regularly reviewed by the Education Review Office.
We also offer Out of School Care and Recreation for primary school children in some areas.

Parent Education - helping parents make positive changes for the benefit of their children
0800 4 PARENT - a free national telephone service offering parents advice, support and information. Hours 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Parenting Through Separation - helping parents support their children through this difficult time
Family Suppport - working with individual families in their own home to help them make changes for the benefit of their children
Footsteps to Feeling Safe - an information designed to help children deal with the effects of family violence
Children's Contact - enabling children to spend time with a parent or other family member in a safe,supervised and supportive environment
