one of the best pizzas i have ever tasted since i left fiji to live in here, price was just right, my daughter 13 months old enjoyed it so she was loud sometimes no one said anything, my wife had great time with us.

Now into its second year The Organic Pizza & Pasta Restaurant is certainly making its mark in Newmarket located just behind the Olympic Swimming Pools at 27 Davis Crescent.

The brainchild of British born couple Mike Butcher and Jan Dewhurst wanted to create something fresh and new and having travelled extensively, investigating what "pizza lovers" really craved - simple delicious pizza containing fresh and wholesome primarily organic ingredients - The Organic Pizza Company was born.

Great atmosphere and good music in a fantastic setting! We can seat up to 100 people, but still provide intimacy where required by you...

From the minute you enter this place the stylish yet rustic casual decor takes you somewhere else afar.

Recently, the owners have created the new "Hops & Crops Bar" on the upper level - a great place to meet and the perfect setting for after work drinks, particularly with its sunny open aspect and elevation. This is a great and quite unique bar setting with stylish and very comfortable armchair seating. Their new Lite Bites Menu is just right and the "Tasting Platter" for two people will blow you away! As well as a fully stocked bar there is Monteith's tap beer available and all at very reasonable prices.

Have been wanting to try this place for about 2 years! Finally got round to it after a swim/spa/sauna @ Olympic Newmarket. Good friendly staff on arrival. Nice, clean and comfy environment. Large pizza for nearly $30 seemed kind of pricey. Nevertheless we were there and we were going to order! Got the large lamb + kumara pizza - creative and tasty! If this was TradeMe I would say "Highly recommended+++" Thin crust but that is the way i like it anyway. Overall a great experience for a post-swim snack. Next time will have to check out their other flavours and maybe even some of their pasta. Oh yea, my friend thoroughly enjoyed his 2 x Organic Ginger Beers too.
