Do you have to like the person you hire?

Generally for me, it's a must for just about everything. If you're going to spend hours and hours with the folks, you'd better get along with who you hire.

And yes we can argue about the relative importance of qualifications and track record etc...yawn.

But I know for sure that I'd rather hire someone at my wavelength and be comfortable that we can work together. Happily. Rather then someone from Mars pretending to be a fellow earthling.

We are quite an easy going bunch. Life is just too short to be grumpy? I like to have fun and I want you to have fun!

Not everyone will get the same opportunity as you to create their own home from zilch. I have built every house that I've lived in, and have absolutely loved the process of ones own creativity taking shape in the form of a home. Your home.
