Terrific place to stop on the way back from North Island road trip. Stopped for a few hours on a hot summer evening and sat on the deck with locals and owner. Had a few drinks while kids played under the large trees. Great hospitaility, terrific music, great converstaion and a nice relaxing evening to finish off our holiday. Will be back and recommend this stop midway between Napier and Taupo to all wary travellers.
