New web page should be read early 2007 - meanwhile some information on current web site is out of date.
Jan Gow (read her column in the NetGuide magazine each month) will help with current information - please phone.
Like a private clinic?? One to one help with your research, using the internet, using your program or your choice. Phone to make an appointment.
Jan has classes at Manurewa High, Selwyn College, Edgewater College - community education. And at the NZSG rooms in Panmure.
However, Jan is usually overseas sometime in July/Aug/Sep. Since 1992 she has taken a Hooked on Genealogy Tour each year to Salt Lake City, London and Edinburgh or Dublin and Belfast. People coming on the Tour attend three seminars before the Tour to organise their information, have a research plan and generally prepare for the 6 week Tour. Jan prepares research guides and information leaflets and special forms. The seminars are videod and recorded so that those who can't attend (and those that do attend) have their own copy of everything that takes place at the seminars. Lectures are organised for SLC and the UK. www.hookedongenealogytours.com
Jan has been selling genealogy computer programs since 1989. The most popular are Legacy, Family Tree Maker, Roots Magic and Family Historian. And Reunion for the Mac. Jan can advise you on which is the best one to meet your needs.
If you send $5 in stamps, plus an A5 SAE Jan will send you the Legacy Standard CD (includes a training video), her 28 page Helplets booklet and a Helplet CD. This is a full program. There is a Deluxe version with more bells and whilstles!
Send an A5 SAE to the PO Box, for an Information Pack.
