Dear Kirsty, We love our possum skin throw. The chocolate colour is so rich, and the fur shines beautifully, highlighting the natural variations in the pelts. On colder nights we throw it on top of our covers. It feels light and warm. I LOVE the feel of the fur brushing against my skin. It is one of those rare purchases that fill me with delight and happiness every time I think of it or see it. My only regret is that we didn't get one a long time ago. Gorgeous Creatures in Newton has a fabulous range of the best quality cow hides around. We brought one last year for our lounge area and have been really supprised at the durability and quality of it. We have two young kids, a dog and a cat and the hide still looks new! Recently our home was used as part of a school fundraiser where a few selected homes were on show for ticket holders to view. The idea was to give people a taste of varying renovation styles, budgets, and stages. The house looked great - as you can see from the photo's! I personally thank you Kirsty and I'd also like to extend a massive thank you from Balmoral School as all funds raised from this project went to the school and our kids. Awsome! It has been a delightful experience obtaining an ottoman from Gorgeous Creatures. From the outset we were after a very particular colour in the hide. Kirsty invited us to take numerous hides home on trial. When none suited she put in an order for one on a no obligations basis. It was perfect. Kirsty also visited our home to ensure we were completely happy with the hide and to help us decide on the dimensions of the ottoman. Nothing was too much trouble. Ultimately the completed product was delivered on time and looks fantastic. Now we are tempted to order another one! (Submitted with the permission of the customer by Mr G Hall)

The package was in great shape (having traveled almost 9,000 miles [over 14,000 kilometres) and the items were exactly what I was looking for!! Kirsty has an amazing eye for selecting beautiful colour, texture and quality - rugs that will perfectly complement both traditional and contemporary interiors. I absolutely love my possum merino top and scarf. It is deliciously warm, soft, and feels wonderful to wear. Wool usually irritates my skin, makes me itchy and can encourage my eczema, so the possum merino is perfect for my sensitive skin. You are not going to believe this but my gorgeous cow hides and gloves arrived at 10.30 this morning!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!! Derek was here to sign. I just got home from work and couldn't believe it!! They are absolutely beautiful and so so soft. The cream one is just lovely and my favourite (the black and white one) is actually on our bed at the moment. I just love them. The gloves are so soft and warm. We are going to save and purchase from you one of the black possum throws and definitely one of your ottomans or footstools. I have never had anything arrive so quickly before. I am still in shock!!! I've been meaning to write and let you know that my sister really liked the knit wear. She absolutely loved the Flax coloured set (her favourite and mine), really liked the navy/purple [Harbour] as well. She had a trip to Rotorua which was cold enough to bring out the new gear and I'm sure the temps this week will be similar! Wow, if you want to know about good quality leather, cowhide, fur. This is the lady to talk to. Do not buy a Opossum throw or Cowhide Rug until you have spoken to this lady. She will tell you all about the traps, cheap and nasty's, care, uses, price, origins. The knowledge she has is just awesome. I have learnt so much from her I wouldn't buy from anyone else because I know the care, quality and attention she provides and trust her knowledge 100%. Thank you also for making all of my visits to your store such easy and enjoyable ones! I am loving all of my purchases (rugs etc) and my kids (myself included) are enjoying the possum fur. It drapes the family couch and never stays put as my kids love to snuggle in it, even at this time of the year!! I was a bit nervous about having it on the couch all the time (dirt, kids etc..) but it is one of the easiest, fuss free pieces in our lounge. It doesnt crease and is exceptionally easy to spot clean!! and the calf skin underside is divine, well worth the extra in price. There is a New Zealand children's picture book called Cow Power by Kim Riley about a dairy cow in Shannon who saved a farmer. The kids wanted to name 'our cow' so they dug out that book and she was christened - "569". A very special cow and a very special rug. We, the kids and the dog - love it! I absolutely LOVE the product, it is even better than I thought it would be, the colours and textures are beyond perfect for our house. A friend came over and as she was undoing the box, then the bag I got so excited. It truly is magnificent, the colours amazing softer than silk (or at least as soft). I'm so glad that I trusted my judgement when I saw it on the site. I just kept going back to the image, knowing it was the one. Thank you sooooo much, I will treasure it. I have finally downloaded photos from my camera and found the one with the cowhide. Thought you might like to see how we have displayed it in our lounge. The zebra arrived safely and I LOVE it! It looks absolutely wonderful on our terracotta tile floor and with our black leather sofas. Dear Kirsty, We love our possum skin throw. The chocolate colour is so rich, and the fur shines beautifully, highlighting the natural variations in the pelts. On colder nights we throw it on top of our covers. It feels light and warm. I LOVE the feel of the fur brushing against my skin. It is one of those rare purchases that fill me with delight and happiness every time I think of it or see it. My only regret is that we didn't get one a long time ago.
