My daughter has had dental trouble ever since her second teeth came through. Having had asthma and whooping cough while her second teeth were forming, we were told high temperatures and medication was the cause. She is now 25 and over the years we have had various 'specialist' opinions about her on-going and long term care, hearing the one main diagnosis that she would eventually have to have her teeth removed as they were 'chalky' and she would need false teeth. We were told this would probably need to be done when she was about 25 years old. This was a horrendous spectacle hanging over our heads for many years - my beautiful young daughter with FALSE TEETH, something we found so hard to comprehend in this day and age. My daughter is a journalist and did her own research when she left home and needed some urgent dental work for persistent tooth ache. She found the website for 'Caring 4 Smiles' in Epsom and decided after independent checking to have a consultation with Dr Loy. Dr Loy and his team were so caring and positive, with such an optimistic approach, telling us what we wanted to hear, that my daughter would be able to keep her own teeth. Not just what we wanted to hear but backing this claim up with a progressive plan over the next year to create a new smile for my daughter. It has not been easy, a fair amount of pain and expense but after six months we can see such a difference. Dr Loy takes photographs so you can see the before, during and after. We were amazed at the previous 'sticking plasters' my daughter had in her mouth. Other dentists with really good reputations that we had trusted had just drilled and patched up cavities with no thought to long term care, the proverbial ambulance at the bottom of the cliff ! My daughter can finally see a future with her own good teeth. lf only we had found Dr Loy and his team 15 years ago we could have saved my daughter a whole lot of misery. To Caring 4 Smiles Dental Group - My testimonial with deepest appreciation Dental Clinics - a place where people are generally afraid or dread to go. I had one terrible experience in March 1997 until I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Loyola Correa (Dr Loy) and his wife Mrs. Thelma Correa, although under unfortunate circumstances. Their dental clinic, at that time, was known as Epsom Dental Care which has now been totally transformed into the Caring 4 Smiles Group. I did not realize the importance of good teeth until I experienced something horrific in March 1997 when I was living in Auckland, New Zealand. Sometime in March 1997 I was experiencing terrible and unbearable pain in my mouth and went to several doctors over a course of many days but most of them could not diagnosis my problem until one doctor realized it was my tooth which was seeping with pus that was causing my erratic fevers and shivers. He immediately referred me to see Dr. Loy and called to explain the emergency to him. I vividly remember it was a Sunday and being the gentleman that he always is rushed over from his Sunday church to open the clinic to attend to me. We sat there for hours until he finally solved the problem and all the pain disappeared - I cannot describe the relief, a total miracle. We then sat and discussed and decided to treat my front teeth which were a problem since my fall in Penang when I was about 12. Dr. Loy's devotion and care towards treating me resulted in resolving all matters and after fitting in the new bridge I moved back to Malaysia in June 1997. Dr. Loy did mention that the bridge should last between 8-10 years but it surpassed the lifespan and lasted 15 years this year. Life went on...and now 15 years later I knew I had to update and make a new bridge. My husband, younger son and I decided to visit Dr Loy in New Zealand in July & August 2012. Practically everyone at home here in Malaysia thought I was being absolutely ridiculous to fly down all the way to Auckland to be treated by my dentist but I just knew it in my heart that this is what I must do even though the flights and hotels were going to cost us. I vividly remember Dr. Loy's dedication, care and passion of which he had put into giving me not only a set of wonderful teeth but the confidence that went with it. I remembered that I was no longer trying to cover my mouth every time I wanted to smile and how fantastic it had felt to smile for the camera without being conscious which I had never really been able to do. With all these memories of Dr. Loy we made this trip to Auckland. I definitely made the right choice by going back to Dr. Loy as he still works with total dedication, care and still has the same passion in giving the best. I got my bridge done and also a few other things along with it. I am back in Malaysia with a perfect set of teeth with thanks to Dr. Loy. There are very few people today who provide service with dedication, care and love and not for the money. TESTIMONIAL from Chirag Sakhrani 07 September 2012 - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia I had a significant amount of dental work done with Dr. Loyola Correa in July/August 2012 at the Caring 4 Smiles Dental Group in Auckland, New Zealand which was I must explain for all your benefit. My mother had to come back to Auckland, New Zealand from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for some important dental work as the last time she was treated by Dr. Loy in 1997 he had done a fantastic job on her teeth. As it was my summer holidays in Kuala Lumpur I joined my parents to Auckland and decided to have a routine check-up since I was at the clinic with my mother just to make sure my dental matters were in order. It came as a total shock when Dr. Loy discovered that my teeth needed some serious treatments - involved a demonstration on the proper brushing technique, filling of two big cavities, one small cavity and the replacement of my old retainers to a new, modern version. Initially when I first sat on the dental chair I was somewhat nervous but then remembered that my mother flew all the way to Auckland especially to be treated by Dr. Loy so he must have been remarkable at his profession. Dr. Loy showed me the brushing technique very thoroughly by using a dye to highlight the plaque. He then showed me the correct way to floss after which he proceeded to polishing my teeth using a blue substance as a mould to finish what needed to be done. After that he gave me two types of mouthwash, floss, a toothbrush, some toothpaste and a dye. On my next visit he continued the treatments. Towards the end of my treatment Dr. Loy showed me the photos of the areas of my teeth - before and after - to highlight the difference and wow, amazing!!! At the final stage Dr Loy took a mould for my temporary retainers that fit perfectly and let me get comfortable with it for a few days before ordering the Vivera retainers. I want to personally express my satisfaction and appreciation by writing this testimonial to thank Dr. Loy for all his wonderful work. I also want to mention and thank his wife Mrs. Thelma Correa for always being so friendly and cheerful. I now understand why my mother came all the way from Malaysia to New Zealand for her dental treatment. I would have done the exact same thing. Not only is he an amazing dentist, Dr. Loy is inspirational and the Caring 4 Smiles clinic is the best I have ever seen. After visiting a few rather "rough Dentists" & never really feeling comfortable in a dentists chair I thought I had nothing to lose when I decided to try out Caring for Smiles. The practice had just opened down the road from where I live and it looked clean,modern and inviting. From my first visit Carolyn made me feel at ease and did an excellent job of explaining to me what she was looking at and any areas of concern. As we all know dental work can be expensive and Carolyn was great with explaining to me what the most immediate needs were and working with me on a plan to ensure I would space the work over a period of months to make it affordable. I have always been nervous with needles and hated to get injections done when I needed fillings.However Carolyn was very mindful of this and took extra care in this area-it was the most pain free and comfortable injection experience I have had with a dentist-even after previously paying top dollar and going to a dentist who claimed to have pain free injections. It was not just Carolyn who made my time with Caring Smiles a great experience the environment is very friendly and the practice managers are all so thoughtful and caring.They always remember who you are and when you call they do whatever they can to fit you in for an appointment time that is convenient for you.It was lovely to receive calls or voice message from Thelmain the days after the treatment to ensure things were ok. Overall I am a huge fan of Caring for Smiles and would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody. I wanted to express my satisfaction with Dr Loy and the Caring for Smiles Dental group regarding the treatment they have provided for my family these past 18 months. We moved to Auckland from the United States in october 2010. The standard of dental care as well as preventative care is very high in the US, and I was concerned I would not be able to find anything comparable here in New Zealand. Thankfully, I passed the clinic on my route home one day and noticed the bright and modern facility. I made an appointment for my children to see Dr Loy. He outlined a plan for preventative care for each of them. Their treatment has included proper demonstration of brushing technique, composite restoration to prevent tooth decay in existing molars, and an oral appliance for oral development and dental alignment. I was surprised that even I learned something about the proper brushing technique! My son recently had to have a frenectomy, and this was performed in Dr Loy's office using the latest in laser technology. My son healed very quickly and without discomfort. Already I see a difference in his tooth alignment as a result of this proceedure recommended by Dr Loy. We will soon be returning to the US. I can say with confidence that all of my children's oral hygiene and health is in a better state than when we arrived here in NZ. I have Dr Loy and the Caring for Smiles Dental group to thank for that. On my last day in New Zealand a surfboard hit my teeth. I broke my two front teeth and others got loose, it really looked terrible! Not a great goodbye from a really beautiful country as New Zealand is. Because it was a sunday, I was sent to the hospital, but finally after hours of waiting, they couldn't help me. Thankfully I found Caring4smiles on the internet, and I could visit them the next morning at 8 (my flight was at 2pm), I was already happy to have an appointment early in the morning! When arrived at caring4smiles, they immediately put me in the dentistchair. I really felt being in good hands! The dentists really did a good thing, after my emergency treatment I felt and looked much better! (And I catched my plane.) With my temporary splint which I got I traveled 2 months more before getting home (in the Netherlands). I stayed in contact with Dr. Loyola Correa who was very concerned with the situation. Looking back at the situation, I am really happy I found Caring4smiles!

I am on sabbatical in New Zealand and found the 'Caring 4 Smiles Dental Group' through the 'finda' website for an emergency repair of a splint fracture. Upon calling I was promptly scheduled for the next day and received excellent treatment. This came as a huge relief as I had no idea how in such short notice I could be sure to find a clinic that would provide the services that I so desperately needed. Not only did Dr. Loyola Correa solve the issue at hand but he also called to my attention that I urgently needed to attend to my gum hygiene, a very serious affair that I was simply not aware of. I'm now finished the periodontal treatment performed by Dr. Loyola Correa and can truly say that it has done wonders. As most people I don't usually enjoy going to the dentist but I must say that the 'Caring 4 Smiles Dental Group' has been a refreshing experience. They have been courteous, prompt, well equipped, extremely professional and straight to the point. Furthermore Dr. Loyola Correa did not hesitate to share with me his recommendations for future treatments that need to be done beyond the course of my stay without asking or expecting anything in return. Hi, I am Sam, and this testimony is created because my family and I have a warm and long standing relationship with Loy and the Caring 4 Smiles Team in Epsom. In 1996, my family got a flyer for a check up to meet Dr Loy, our new local dentist. Mum and dad had their dental checks and after meeting Loy and Thelma they felt my brother, sister and I must meet Loy too. Loy suggested that we 3 kids be placed on a Preventive Dental care program and my mum and dad started their dental treatment. I was 9 years old at that time, and I just sat there wondering what this was all about and if it was going to be painful. Nothing was painful and as the years rolled by, I would watch movies and T V on the screen above, while Loy worked on my teeth. My family and I became close friends with Loy and the team and we enjoy a special relationship. This brings us all back every 6 months for routine checks and we always get a big tick. I work in Australia and my brother and sister are also overseas. We make regular trips to Auckland and we continue to see Loy and the team. I hadnt been to the dentist in 7 years prior to going to the dentist yesterday because i have had some terrible dentists and some terrible experiences. This is the greatest dentist practice I have been to, there was no shaming and preaching (like the other dentists I went to, I dont like spending money for a service just to have someone berate me). I just got honest answers and advice on my future dental care with thorough explanations on the processes and reasons for them. The Dr. prides himself on quality and it shows, he has some amazing pride in his work and in his business (he insisted on giving me a tour of the premesis and showed me all of the state of the art equipment he had, pretty neat). When all was said and done I got a great teeth cleaning and some sound advice as well as an appointment to fill a cavity (bummer...) and repair some old fillings. If you havent been to the dentist in a while and are scared to do so, dont be, this team was awesome.

My association with Dr.Loyola goes back 30 years or more, back in Mumbai, when by chance I mentioned the impending removal of a tooth.He requested the opportunity of examining the possibility of saving it. He did. I subsequently also had some other major work done on my teeth (I enjoyed and continue to enjoy chocolate..) that has lasted to this day in 2010. In summary, I believe Dr Loy has not just an excellent skill set in dentistry, he is also some one that demonstrates high ethical standards and shows genuine care for your long term well being. It is with much appreciation and gratitude that I am writing this testimonial. I have been Dr. Loy's patient since 1990 after he began his practice in Mumbai. During the interim period between his moving to Auckland and my arrival here in 2004, my teeth and gums had accumulated a huge amount of bacteria due to neglect and given the fact that I had a natural condition of plaque and tartar build up, it only compounded my problems with the development of cavities, gum disease and tooth decay. Dr. Loy's treatment was absolutely amazing and the results were incredible and that too were readily apparent within a short period of time since the commencement of his oral hygiene treatment. The sessions involving debridement, tooth scaling and polishing which were scheduled four times a year are now reduced to only twice a year. This was only possible due to Dr. Loy's clever tips and advise on how to maintain oral hygiene between cleanings to prevent tartar build-up which was the root cause of most of the problems mentioned above. I had a condition that the few dentists I visited while Dr. Loy did his disappearing act from Mumbai, clearly advised me in no uncertain terms that only gum surgery could solve my problem. Thanks to Dr. Loy, to date I have not had any surgery done and my teeth are still fine, not to mention that quite a few of them that would have required extraction were salvaged with Dr. Loy's expertise. I no longer suffer from gum disease and except for the professional cleaning twice a year I have had no other reason to visit Dr. Loy's clinic for the last five years. Dr. Loy and his team are true professionals and are top notch and second to none, having the most advanced, state of the art equipment and using the most highly advanced techniques.

Dear Dr.Loy, I am writing this review to express my delight in finding a dentist whom, in my opinion, exceeds all previous expectations I've had of a visit to the dentist. Never before had any dentist explained to me with such clarity where the status of my oral health stands and how it may progress in the next 5-10 years. Knowing that information helped get me motivated to further improve my oral health and maintain it where need be. I can definitely say that I place much more importance on taking care of my oral health now and can visibly see the benefits as well as feel them in terms of cost. The digital photography of my teeth that you took and radiograph images were a welcome addition, which further enhanced my understanding of what was being explained to me and made me feel more involved in the process of drawing up my treatment plan. Many of the dentists I previously visited take it for granted that patients will do as they say and understand that it is for the betterment of their teeth. This I had previously accepted as the norm. But I can say that attending your practice as a patient has definitely made me realize that you are running your practice superbly at an entirely different standard and with an entirely different philosophy, and it most certainly shows. Kudos to you and your excellent team for that.

Its a pleasure to write for Dr. Loy who was more to me like a friend than a dentist. He took great care of my oral health and also helped me get rid of my bleeding gums too. He also helped me cope up with the treatments quite comfortably. Lastly, I am thankful to everyone at his practice, Right from his receptionist Lynette and wife Thelma. I've made a practice to keep in touch with him for regular checkups as well so that I continue to have the smile which he has restored it back :) I would recommend everyone to get in touch with the practice and get a healthy smile because it matters so much when it comes to enjoying your life up to fullest.

Dr Loy does a great job making people feel comfortable in the chair. I'm scared of drills and teeth pulling but he puts me at ease and explains what he is going to do step by step in laymans terms. You will not be disappointed with your visit!!

I was highly impressed by the focus on long term patient care and the modern treatment methods used (including ozone treatment and digital imaging). I would certainly reccommend Dr. Loyola Correa and his team to anybody looking for reasonably priced, professional and friendly dental practice.
