- When teeth are unable to be filled, or where decay has reached the ~pulp(nerve) or living part of the tooth, removing them or extraction is usually the easiest treatment option.

Costs per extractions:

* $100 - $165
* $180 - $220 Surgical
* $180 - $250 for wisdom teeth



Please let the dentist know if you have any serious health conditions before booking in for an extraction. A consultation is generally necessary before the extraction of a wisdom tooth. Difficult wisdom teeth extractions may need to be scheduled for a different occasion.

* Root canal therapy (RCT) usually requires three appointments,

* Root canal therapy has a success rate of 85-95% however, should the tooth not respond to the treatment, it may still require extraction.

* Root canalled teeth do become very brittle over time and are not as strong as untreated teeth. They have a tendency to break and will require crowning at least months after the completion of the treatment.

* Root canal treatments cost between $700-$1000 depending on the tooth involved.

* The moulds are then sent away and the crown is make at a dental laboratory and after a period of 7-10 days, comes back and is ready for instition.

* The second visit involves removing the temporary crown and fitting the permanent crown.
