This Kohanga is fantastic. My son has been enrolled in this kohanga for
two years now and his competency in te reo Maori is outstanding. I highly recommend to all that are able to nurture their child's or children's reo at home.
Ngaio Te Kohanga Reo aims to provide high quality care in a positive learning environment for tamariki within a kaupapa Maori framework, based on tikanga Maori i roto i te reo Maori. It is Maori full immersion and open from Mon-Fri, 8am – 5:30pm. The kohanga caters for six month to school aged tamariki and the curriculum is Te Whariki based. We have fantastic Kaiako and kaimahi, with the kohanga being managed by a very active and involved whanau. The kohanga has been servicing tamariki and whanau in the eastern and central Wellington areas since 1983.
