Over the years, Gateau House has become the ONLY place we go for cakes for all occasions. A must try is their Kumara Cake - sounds weird, but looks cute and tastes heavenly! I mostly go to their Dominion Road shop, but increasingly am finding the Queen St shop's late night opening hours very convenient. Other notable mentions include their Tiramisu and Fresh Cream Sponge cakes. If you're just seeking a small treat - drop by and grab a pack of mini Custard Puffs!
