The year is 1986. In Christchurch two audiophiles, the best of friends decide in their infinite wisdom that too many people were missing out on enjoying the pleasure of real music in the home. They found the fledging Soundline Audio. Even in the face of adversity including severe import restrictions they go on to secure brands and products that changed the rules of the game

Twenty years along the wire with little attrition, the merry band has grown to include: ex beach bums, fly fisherman with a fleeting penchant for prozac, bourbon bashing fanatics, bypasses, bears, urban cowboys, saintly types, snowboarders, piano players, ex magazine reviewers, opera singers and even the odd holyman. Diversity to smile in the face of, a veritable melting pot of bright ideas, knowledge and experience.

Soundline Audio has gone on to provide Simply Home Entertainment to generations of New Zealanders and are acknowledged industry leaders - never followers.
