We recently rented a car from this family business for three weeks, during which the earthquake happened. The car was older, but very well maintained and much cheaper than other rental cars. I drove from Christchurch south to Wanaka. We went on many sightseeing expeditions through the mountains, all over the South Island. The car worked very well. Their business was damaged during the earthquake. We exchanged emails and they met us at the short term parking lot at the Christchurch airport, when we were ready to depart. If you need to rent a car on the South Island of New Zealand, this is the firm to use. Great people, great car, inexpensive price compared to other rental firms.
