Literacy North Shore provide literacy, numeracy, learner driver licence and basic computing support to individuals, community groups and workplaces on the North Shore.
According to results of the Adult Literacy Survey conducted in the mid 1990s, almost half of the New Zealand workforce lack the necessary literacy, numeracy and language skills to live and work effectively in our society.
So we work in the community to support individuals and groups who want to improve their literacy, numeracy and employment opportunities.
Literacy North Shore specialises in personal student centred support, at no cost to the student, in a friendly, safe learning environment
Learn only what you want to learn, at your own pace, with no tests or examinations
One on one and small group classes are offered at 414 Glenfield Road and a range of venues across the North Shore
Tutors are qualified, specialist adult literacy tutors who hold nationally recognised literacy certification
