Our focus is primary and secondary tutoring and student coaching. We provide vital education to help students make number work and words flow in their daily school learning.

Get Ready for School

The Get Ready for School program is a gentle introduction to learning which aids a smooth transition from pre-school to big school. A combination of worksheets, activities, computer games and songs reinforce skills and ensure that learning is stress-free and fun!

The program develops:

* Hand eye co-ordination
* Computer and gross motor skills
* Colour sense

Pre-Schoolers finish the program with an increased understanding of:

* Sharing and teamwork
* Listening
* Following instructions

Children will learn:

* To write and to recognise their own name
* To read, write and count numbers one to ten

The program is offered as a 10 week course.

Maths Tutoring

This program is designed for students who need help with maths in any grade. A free initial consultation allows programs to be individually tailored and provides a starting point from which to measure progress. The consultation could also rule out barriers to learning such as hearing and sight problems. Students gain confidence by working at their own pace - without being hurried - through a combination of face-to-face learning and stimulating computer drills. Progress is consolidated with weekly homework and regular feedback ensures that parents, who we encourage to be patient, are kept up to date with student achievements.

English as a Second Language

This 25-lesson course is designed to assist students who do not speak English as a first language to keep pace with their schoolwork and improve social skills. The course extends the students" knowledge of both written and spoken English and covers vocabulary, basic grammar, speaking, reading and writing. Computer activities combined with worksheets allow students to progress at their own pace and learning is consolidated with weekly homework. The course also includes an oral component where students are encouraged to speak out loud helping them strengthen their speech and pronunciation - with great results.

Kip McGrath Education Secondary School Programs are designed to give secondary school students the motivation and confidence to achieve their full potential during what can be difficult years. We offer a broad spectrum of education courses: from maths tutoring and English tutoring, to extension courses for students who want to push themselves harder.

We encourage students to feel confident and progress at their own pace. They are never overwhelmed and learning becomes fun and improvement comes naturally as concepts are explained, revised and practised.
