My wife & I are in our 80's and have been on many coach tours. However, since our first tour with MoaTrek we have elected to tour with no other Company and have now been on 6 tours with them. Although their cost is a little higher than their competitors, we feel that their quality is superior in every respect. This includes accommodation, meals, the provision of morning & afternoon teas, unusual & comprehensive sightseeing, smaller coach size and unhurried itineraries. Any future coach tours we make will most certainly be with MoaTrek if at all possible.

Drawn to first class style on website. Owner lovely, planned for 5 day private Northland tour, driver followed or did his own thing. Hotels fine. Driver said he mostly did airport transfers. No knowledge about places we went .Owner knew we were educators, artists, needed top guide. Ordered big, comfortable car, smaller one all they had? too cramped. Too little time at major spot couldnt enjoy at leisure. Went to town at 8 am, nothing opened til 10? We asked please clean windows, met with"Why bother? They'll just get dirty again anyway." $1000 per day hire for private guide. Bottled water 1st day of five, nothing else. Skimpy service, didn't feel classy or cared for. failed to meet expectations. service not the glorious look on website. Wanted sweet & special, but disappointed-lack-luster & frustrating.

We have enjoyed our trips with MoaTrek. The routes have been well chosen and interesting, the accommodation good quality and comfortable, and the tea/coffee and lunch places imaginative and always enjoyable - and a major factor, our fellow travellers, compatible and sociable. MoaTrek provides a relaxing holiday with friendly tour leader/driver looking after all needs and providing cheerful commentary - no baggage worries, no hotel booking, no decisions on stopping places - all done, just pleasure and relaxation. If you are looking for a relaxed short-term holiday in NZ and want to enjoy company at quality resorts then MoaTrek will look after you. Catering for small groups on tours , this travel company can provide it all, with home pick-ups and all meals. We have been on two contrasting tours -- the Coromandel Caper and the Doubtful Sound/West Coast Odyssey. Comfortable coach plus excellent drivers and tour leaders really 'make' the trip. Plenty of free time in the leading holiday resorts, topped by leisurely lunches at private homes, all add up to the best of experiences, especially for young-at-heart seniors.
