I went on the Mother / Daughter weekend with a group of friends, arrived with great excitement and anitcipation. I'd travelled in the evening leaving the hussle and bustle of Hamilton. I arrived at 9pm in the dark, almost missed the signage and settled in with a hot coffee and went exploring the kitchen and rooms I'd be using over the weekend. This was exciting, I hadnt been camping out since I was a child. I couldnt wait for the morning when I'd get a riding lesson, and go trekking. When I stepped out of my room next morning I was blown away by the silence around me. Peace and quiet in my lifestyle was rare. I wandered across the decking and out to the stables. It was like I was in a movie I'd seen. The horses in the corral, mist in the hills. This was awesome. The riding lesson, and treks over the weekend were great. If you want a weekend away where you can forget about life in the mainstream this is the place to go. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and supportive if you've never been horse riding before. I'd been horse riding before but I'd never put a saddle or a bridle on a horse before so I was a bit nervous about doing these things. I needn't have worried, the horse knew exactly what had to be done. I loved brushing their coats down after the treks, I had bonded with 'my' horse already. Two days wasnt long enough, it was all over too soon for me. I'd recommend Tui Glen for team building or just a weekend away with a difference, its a great place for bonding time. One Happy Trekker
