I visit Midnight Express fairly often as I adore the food and decor of this restaurant. The food is always perfect, the service is friendly and I love the atmosphere of the place. The prices are very reasonable for the meals they serve, too. I highly recommend it! However, I have one small gripe... I have an English credit card (Mastercard) which I use frequently but Midnight Express cannot process my payment with it for some reason. I've used it all over NZ and have only come across 3 or 4 places that cannot process my payments. It is a chip and pin card and Mastercard say that some older machines are not compatible HOWEVER they MUST put the payment through manually. The staff at Midnight Express cannot do this so I am forced to find other payment options. Not ideal...

The choice of sea food is great. Reminds me of Succegad - Relaxation on the beach. Good place for family

Went to Thai Takapuna on Monday night. Monday is usually a quiet night but was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few people dining here. . . . as it was also a cold, wet, windy night. We had a party of nine, ordered some drinks, chatted and relaxed, and then ordered our meal. The service was excellent - we all got our entree's at the same time - they were lovely . For the mixed entree we asked if we could have the chicken satay instead of the fish cakes but this was not an option. The mains were beautifully presented - lovely crockery but more importantly, the food was divine. All nine of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Didn't try the desserts - couldn't fit it in ! The manager was lovely - so friendly. We had a great time ! Love good Thai food and will definitely be going back to this restaurant.

Have been here several times for dinner and every time we have been extremely happy with the food, service and atmosphere. The food is quick to come out and very very tasty. the service is always good, the staff make sure you are ok, have enough to drink and always check how the meals are. would definately recommend everyone try this place if you like mexican!!

Beautiful beautiful Japanese food!!! Had shared their some of their vegetarian dishes with friends and they are simply amazing!! Good ambiance and neat place. Would definitely go their again :)

This is a regular / one of my favourite places to introduce to my friends and colleagues. Very prompt attentive and genuine service - always. The menu is very diverse and will accommodate any palate or preference. $12 lunch deals are fabulous value for money. My personal favourites include: Matidor's Cape (roasted chicken breast / thigh with roasted capsicum served with a chorizo pilaf); Lamb Cutlets; and the Fish of the Day (traditionally this used to be served with veges and a lemon garlic sauce, but nowadays more frequently served with portabello mushroom and tarragon sauce - both delicious). The pasta dishes are also equally delicious.

amazing food ! Dined at the the place today itself......Staff is very friendly and service is prompt! Definitely worth a second visit! Must try the Padh-thai and the red thai curry.
