Malaysian Restaurants in New Zealand

My husband and I often visit this restaurant on the weekends. We usually order the Saturday Special (Nasi Biryani Set, which comes with Teh Tarik), or the Sunday Special (All you can eat - lamb curry, chicken curry, rice, dhal, carrot salad, cabbage stir-fry, sambal, etc - served on banana leaf). Both weekend specials are highly recommended. If you're looking for simple meals, try the Nasi Lemak. The Lamb Rendang and Fried Tofu Sambal are also delicious. You can request for the meals to be cooked Hot, Medium, or Mild. We always order some poppadums with our meals, too. They're great as sides or to complement the meal. Santhiya's is a family business and we found the owner & staff friendly. The decor of the place itself is quite humble, probably not the kind of place to go if you're looking for great atmosphere. Nevertheless, it's clean and tidy. All the food are also very reasonably priced. There are lots of parking spaces at the Mt Roskill shoppers carpark, which can be accessed through Mt Albert Rd.
