Well, it's pleasure to recomend the Post Boy to anyone who's looking for a nice place for a pub lunch and a cold pint. It's not a family restaurant but our three daughters (13,7 & 1) were definately most welcome both times we ate there in our short stay in Nelson. Decor was functional. Beer; cold and a decent choice. Wine was from the box but didn't kill my wife or mum. Food was great. Hearty flavours and generous portions. I think the beef patty in my burger was home made. The sous chef showed my middle daughter how they made their pasta. Price; This place is close enough to town to be an easy walk from the CBD while far enough away from the tourist traps so you don't feel like your wallet was violently assaulted. All the staff were fantastic and the locals were very friendly. I think the highest praise I can give to the place is that if I lived in Nelson, this would definately be my local.
