Cleaning (Domestic) in New Zealand

VERY bad service from this cleaning company, take my advice and DONT use them. You have to provide all your own cleaning products and they are not any cheaper than a standard cleaning company. I would have expected a professional cleaning company to use professional grade products. A cleaner came around to my house for an initial consultation and I told her exactly what was required. I had to pay in advance so there was no motivation for her to do a good job. I wanted a whole house clean and was given a price for that. When I got home from work, I discovered that she had only wiped the surfaces in the kitchen and done the sinks in each bathroom. The toilets, showers and bath had not been cleaned, and the vacuum had not been used. She also used more of my cleaning products than I would have expected given the small amount of work she had done, and apparently doing these few things took her over 2 hours. It would have taken me about 20 minutes. When I complained, I was told someone would call me back. No-one ever did, so I rang again. I did get an apology, but no offer of a free replacement cleaner and I ended up spending my day off cleaning everything the cleaner had missed. I then phoned them again and was eventually offered 1 hours free cleaning or 3 hours for the price of two. The manager of the company insisted that the cleaner had completely cleaned my bathroom when it was clear to me they had not (there was still sand in the bath from my boy being at the beach the day before) and basically accused my of lying and being too demanding. The cleaner has still not returned my front door key 6 days later. Terrible service and terrible customer service. They seem to care very little about their customers or feedback and insist that their cleaners are good when they are not. They had ample opportunity to put things right and sadly failed on all counts.
