I have been on 24 months contract with Telecom NZ. The free Thompson Modem came along with that plan is poor quality which probably causes connection lost very often. I talked to first level technicians many time but it did not solve the problem. The connection lost problem happened since the first Thompson modem. Telecom sent me a new modem, but it still causes the same problem. Then I met with second level technicians few times. Telecom booked one of Chorus technicians to visit my house to check phone plugs, filters, modem and land-line exchange board near the house. Technician guy brought my modem to the exchange board for testing and he said that he changed my ADSL2 to Low profile in which the speed might be a bit slower but it might solve the connection lost problem. When connection lost happen, the internet led light on the modem is completely gone and came back after a while. Sometime, connection comes and goes very often and using internet is hopeless. I am very upset with Telecom because I am on the plan with 60GB plan which has been increased by Telecom automatically. Monthly fees cost me about $108 NZD. What a good services and rip off..............
