I was in Oamaru last week for work and craving a coffee and happened to choose Bean on Thames, one of the best coffees I have ever had in my life (and I've had a lot of coffee!) The prices are quite high, but well worth the stop if you're ever passing through Oamaru. I noticed an award for best barrister in Otago (I think), and once you have a cup of their coffee you will see why! They also have a huge selection of counter food, and menu which looks pretty fantastic also.
