Engine Servicing in Canterbury

Paid fee for WOF for motorbike at counter, rode bike round back to testing area and waited to be attended to - eventually an employee walks towards me shaking his head and then said "The guy that does motorbikes has Thursday's and Fridays off" I replied "They could have told me at the counter before I paid for it" - "You can get a refund" he replied. Went back into where I had paid in disbelief knowone was available to do the WOF, confirmed if there was knowone else to do it incase the head shaking guy wanted to enjoy an uninterrupted lunch break - told same thing about his days off, asked if he'd be working Sunday and another employee to the side bluntly said "Well if he has Thursday's and Fridays off he must work Sunday's". They have been fair over the years with the actual inspection side of things and the reason why I have still gone there but in recent years the unfriendly attitude of the inspection staff gets worse and worse, even a hello is a non event. Recommend the inspection staff drop the Gestapo demeanor, it's a WOF -average customer will not cry if their vehicle does not pass. Ended up going to On The Go on Hills rd and warrant was done immediately, the service was carried out in a friendly professional manner. Like family and friends decided a while ago I will not give BP Marshlands another cent, and judging by the small amount of customers they have these days compared to the lines of cars they use to have waiting for a WOF 5 years ago we are not alone in our judgement.
