New Patients are not welcome at this clinic. I was treated like a criminal trying to sneak in a fugitive when attempting to make an appointment for my partner earlier today. I was offered four appointment times, and I confirmed one and then when I gave his name she said "You must have called the wrong place." I said no, he is a patient with two other practices in Redi-care and he doesn't have a doctor. Suddenly they were fully booked, didn't offer appointments to 'casuals' anyway and I had a cheek for not stating he was new from the start. While I am sorry for 'wasting her time', I think Medical Clinics should be aware that not all the general public is aware of DHB rules in regard to registered patients, and that when their advertisements state that 'new patients always welcome' a person might be confused into thinking new patients would be welcome.
