This quiet little restaurant serves delicious food at a reasonable price. The building is beautiful with old pictures and Kauri walls which make a lovely setting. The service was a bit slow but the food was delicious.

Very impressed with the service. We had a lovely evening, thank you very much! The food was brilliant, and even though it was late (due to understandable human error!) they more than made up for it, including a special birthday dessert for my father. Many thanks to all the staff at Lone Star Takapuna!

Being a Malaysian, I love food and I'm always on the hunt for authentic Malaysian restaurants but trust me they are rare to come by. Malaysia Satay House however are one of those amazing rare finds. I absolutely love the food here, especially the butter chicken - its nothing like Indian butter chicken its a completely different style (not curry) but oh so delicious! It's been awhile since I've visited as it's just too far from me now living out in Howick, but if the same chefs are still there I highly recommend this place.

We've been there countless time, mostly takeaway and occasional dine in. The roast duck is yummy, roast pork and bbq pork is great too! A MUST try is their homemade chilly, love it but be prepared to cry for it. :-)

What I absolutely love about New Vietnam is its ambience. It makes you feel like stepping into a restaurant in china town with its chinese style wooden furnitures. Value for money, at just $9.80 for a generous bowl of beef noodle soup. Not the best I've tried but definitely leave you well-fed. Iced vietnamese coffee was too mild for my liking.

dined here with friends. there is a great family atmosphere. they have a kiddies room where parents can leave their kids and enjoy time off. the location is superb with plenty parking. the views are fantastic. the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. the service is friendly and efficient. we ate the ribs, snails, chicken livers and fish curry. make sure you top dinner off with soft ice and waffles. and then a don pedro. this is a south african ice cocktail/long drink and fabulous.

The Commons is truly an exquisite dining experience. From the doorman opening the door for us, to the maitre d' that greeted us inside. It was tempting to stay downstairs in the upbeat, classy environment to try the tapas menu, but we opted to dine upstairs and feast on the chefs tantalizing menu offered by the maitre d'. Upstairs we thoroughly enjoyed an evening of fine dining experience. All the staff are gave world class service, they were friendly, well informed of the menu and extensive wine list, and made us feel completely pampered and looked after us for the evening. The atmosphere is warm, classy, creative and vibey with really great background music. The food is INCREDIBLE!! Colourful, fresh, creative that made my taste buds dance with joy. So many different flavours, textures and tastes! Looking forward to going back and trying out the tapas menu. I'm sure it will be our new summer spot with the outside bar and lounge couches - bliss!!
