Clothing Alterations & Repairs in Canterbury

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY NEWMARKET BRANCH AT 277 BROADWAY!!! They say that fast service is guaranteed so I paid decent money for express same day service service to be picked up the next day by 4pm which they have guaranteed. The result ended up them calling me at 4pm the next day telling me that they can't have it ready by today and will have this by tomorrow. I explained to them that I needed my suit as I had important pre-arrangements which is exactly why I paid extra money for express service. They said they would call me again and some other female staff (supervisor?) called me and basically told me that they cannot deliver because the dry cleaners have closed (probably contracted). I explained that I desperately needed my suit as I needed this for my work but they were not considering my situation and rather blamed me for not helping them out when they made a mistake. I am a generous person and normally I could get over with this mistake. I could not express more about the rudeness of the staff at LookSmart and continuous attempt to argue and criticise me for asking for a basic service. I have been in service industry for more than 5 years now but I have never seen such unprofessional attitude and approach towards customers. I could not believe I have spoken more than 30 minutes just arguing with the staff just because they tried to rip me off and blame me as if it was my fault. I ended up receiving my suit next day and no refund was given. Unfortunately it is a costly process to go through disputes tribunal and I could not forget wearing jeans to my work which was meant to be one of the most important days of my life.

I have never met someone that owns a business (especially in this current climate with people struggling with earthquake damage etc) that is so rude and unfriendly, (coming from a highly regarded advertising/marketing company) I had a very bad experience today and I will NEVER be going back, I travelled from afar today to support this business with huge disappointment, (resulting in collecting my goods back within half an hour) if you cant treat customers with the respect and smile that they deserve walking into your shop then maybe you should not be in business.
