They did my books for 4 years always claiming to ensure I didn't pay any more than I had to. Even if they did get the tax bill down a bit, their fees were so high I was no better off. They weren't working for me. One senior employee (now left) disputed a deduction & gave me incorrect info about my vehicle log book. Then I read "Slash Your Taxes Now" by Peter Sibbald. I found out my deduction was legitimate & many more I wasn't told about. I ended up TELLING THEM how it was going to be. Why do I have to double check what my accountant is doing! What am I paying them for? Oh that's right; their office expansion & extravagent refit. When I asked for some specific info, it was discovered that instructions I had given had never been done. Although a senior partner took about $2,000 off my next invoice as an apology, my confidence in their competence was spent. My new accountant found several faults in their workings. There are 2 excellent people there though - Min Davis & Rosemary Agnew.
