I've never had any problem with Ascent and have been a customer for over 5 years. They do take credit cards (I use mine all the time). They do have two prices on some things because they buy from multiple suppliers with different prices. If the cheapest one is out of stock they also list the price from the next expensive supplier that does have the product. It is your own choice whether you want to wait until the cheaper one comes back in stock or take the more expensive one that is available now. I don't see that as misleading, and I think it is explained in their FAQ. IMO Ascent is the best NZ online store for computer parts - not always the cheapest, but certainly the best.
