Accommodation in Tokomaru Bay

My family and I spent the night in this Tavern in July 09. I am a Welshman now living in the Hokianga and I had my mother and her husband as well as my young nephew with me. My family were on holiday in NZ for the first time. The hospitality of this Tavern can not be faulted. The locals were some of the most welcoming folk I have met in New Zealand, in fact I can not think of any friendlier. The beer was good as was the bar snack. My family have returned to Wales with huge and fond memories of this establishment and the friendliness of the staff and regulars.

Whilst touring with my family in search of my Tairawhiti roots, I stopped off at this place for fish and chips and can say it is the best is New Zealand - and plenty of it - you can't shortchange those cuzzie on the Coast. Dale Mulligan and family Newcastle, NSW, Australia
