Family Restaurants in Tauranga City

Although the cafe is in an apartment building it is very cool, I imagine summer it will be amazing. The service is without par in Tauranga - phenomonal. It was a real treat. The menu was very enticing, the wine list also better than most in Tauranga (and Reidel glasses!). There was no bread offered, as NZ seems to miss. Entree was seafood spoons - almost bouillabase, and had great flavour but texturely the octopus didn't quite fit. I had eye fillet in a pepper and coffee crust - brilliant. The gratin was good. The sweet potato too sweet (orange) and missed some horseradish or mustard. The wife had salmon and she felt it was perfectly cooked, but the bean puree missed, but baked ricotta tremendous. Dessert was theiur version of pistachio baklova (never would I have though I would order baklova) cigars, vanilla gelato. Truely superb. I think this has potential to be the best restaurant in Tauranga.

Beautiful and almost perfect setting - on a good day! Sitting outside on a good day right by the estuary on the beachfront is great. The food is also excellent, although expensive. The menu is quite varied although a bit small, but the quality of the food makes up for that. Service is a bit slow but the staff are friendly and that compensates for the wait. We go there fairly regularly and have always enjoyed our meal.

We had a beautiful lunch here & would definitely say its the best Cobb & Co we've visited in NZ!!! The staff greeted us with warm smiles & were very friendly & only to happy to help. Our 7yr old got an activity sheet & pencils to amuse her while we waited for our meals. This was fantastic while we enjoyed our drinks in peace!! Our meals arrived a very short time after we ordered & we we're not disappointed. They were hot, nicely presented & very tasty, not to mention value for money. The venue was very clean & tidy. Would definitely recommend Cobb & Co Tauranga to everyone.
