I shifted house from the North Shore to Pakuranga recently. I had contemplated hiring a truck and doing the job on my own, but from the time Damien answered the phone I knew I had made the right choice. Damien quoted me a very fair price and took all the hassle out of moving house. He and his helper were punctual, efficient and careful. We rang 4 companies to move an upright piano on our behalf. Pete's company was willing to lower their price to meet that of their competitors (their original quote was the highest of all received.) Unfortunately, they were 5 hours late, and when they did arrive, they were generally not personable, did not make any comment about being late, and made minor damage to the front step of one property. They also tracked mud into our home and carpet and were generally very rough and ready with the piano. They nearly caused further damage to our walls and flooring. Generally I did not think they lived up to their website's claims of being friendly or professional. When I politely rang them to discuss the damage to the other family's property, they dismissed us and said they didn't want to hear any feedback because 'what we wanted was a cheap job so that is what we got." While I do appreciate them lowering their price and fitting in this job, If I were someone reading this, I would use another company.
