Wining & Dining in Nelson

Sorry but not impressed with food here. People rave about it but I think it just average and a little pricey for 'Thai' food Staff also pretty average - when we asked how hot the curry was we were told "I'm not sure but I don't think it's very hot" - no option on heat here and it was pretty warm! Also my friend paid for her meal and then waited by bar for the rest of us, the same person who took her money walked up to her a minute later and said "hi can I help you". Not rushing back here.

Eating at this restaurant with my family was one of the highlights of our holiday in Nelson. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with black and gold furnishings and some stunning Thai art pieces. The meals were substantial enough that we had to take the leftovers home afterwards, and combined unusual flavours to make a thoroughly delicious dish substantial enough that we had to take the leftovers home afterwards. While the food was both mouthwatering and relatively affordable, the service was the part I was most impressed with. The staff were polite, friendly and anxious to ensure our meal was perfect. We were even given a complimentary dish of nibbles for our 'wait' for our meal, which was a short ten minutes. My family and I will definitely be stopping there again the next time we are in Nelson.
