The resort is located in a lovely location with great views of the Marlborough Sounds. The oad to the resort after the last main road turn off takes approx 40 minutes and is very windy so a boat connection is recommneded even though the cost is high for this at $60 currently. The resort itself is quite old in the main with quite a tired feeling pervading thorughout. We stayed in the hillside rooms and they are in need of refurbsihment as the rooms are quite dark which is not helped with poor lighting in the rooms.Bathrooms are basic with a poor shower. On our stay the room and bed was somewhat damp even though we were staying in the middle of summer. The pricing charged for these rooms and the overall hotel itself seem to rely on location to justify the rates and overall we judged this reort as being tired and over priced.
