Family Restaurants in Christchurch City

I have found the staff at McDonald restaurant's to be very professional,courteuos,& well mannered in the 30 year's I have been going there.Not to mention the great affordable & healthy food currently on offer.

A must when visiting Christchurch, although it is wise to book ahead. This might seem strange for a breakfast place but, boy, is it worth it. Very fast, friendly service in a bustling, nonstop clean and modern atmosphere. Free toast with fresh whipped butter and jam is at your table on arrival and this has to be the most extensive breakfast menu I have ever seen. Their pancakes are thick piles of perfection and although I'm not into Mexican food, the fact that there are Mexican breakfast items on the menu is impressive. They have proper shredded hash browns, corned beef hash, a variety of sides and delicious milkshakes and smoothies. Any type of breakfast you like and they will serve it to you at the highest standard. A trip to Christchurch isn't complete without a trip to Drexels and I do hope they're still standing after the quake, they are in a modern building so fingers crossed.

This is our favourite of all Thai restaurants in Chch, the kids love it too. Really authentic, good service, can't go past the Chicken Basil Chilli (my favourite) and BYO too which makes for an affordable, tasty, great evening out.
