Monday 13th Dec 2010 I called to have a filling replaced. The job done was adequate, but the level of service was not. The dentist jabbed the needle repeatedly into my jaw bone. When I objected, she said that was normal. I explained that in 40 yrs I had never come across such a method of injecting anaesthetic. She then refused to look over the rest of my teeth for other possible work while the anastheatic was taking effect! She insisted that it would have to be another examination fee, with another set of charges, rather than viewing it as service to her client which could then lead to further appointments and work. Her dismissive response of "ok, just forget it, we'll just do the filling" closed any discussion and any possibility that i would make further appointments. She then just sat there in silence waiting for the anaesthetic to take effect, rather than look for opportunities to do more work, thus earning more income anyway, while improving the level of customer service, and thus gaining my loyalty! I found this to be a shockingly mercenary approach from a medical professional. She places making money out of her patients above giving them a professional medical service. I will therefore not be returning to this practice.
