Ian and Sue Plummer managed to provide short notice accomodation during the busy Seafest weekend. Ian and Sue answered any questions I had regarding the accomodation facilities promptly, via email. When we arrived we were greeted by Ian and Sue Plummer and shown to our Beach front apartment. The view from the picnic area in front of the unit was excellent, and the room was comfortable and of good size. The kitchen, bathroom and living room facilities were perfect for a weekend away, especially the weekend of Seafest. Sue and Ian were genuinely nice people, who provided a comfortable friendly atmosphere. Unique Qualities: Great views and comfortable room with satisfactory facilities. The outstanding point of difference of this accomodation was the friendly service, who were always willing and seeking to make our stay as good as it could be.

This has to be one of the nicest motels I have ever stayed at!!! The owners are friendly and accommodating and made us feel like family - nothing was a problem and the standard of the unit - definitely got our monies worth, warm, inviting and exceptional clean!!! I would highly recommend staying here to anyone traveling the South Island!!!

Untidy patio; cigarette butts not cleared from exterior ashtray; no soap, bathmat, shampoo, or milk; room smelled musty; room not thoroughly cleaned although linen fresh and clean; no phone; heater plug cut off; cast off electronic gear on patio; cables for tv hanging loose; security chain broken off; door handle latch removed - only a single key-latch for security; place for sale - looks like current owner doesn't care. Stayed 16 Feb - won't stay again.
