We had dinner at the Brickworks last night (13/1/2013). Very relaxing Restaurant - nice background music that didn't drown out conversation. The meal was nicely served and very ample. The lamb shank was beautifully cooked and very tender. The lamb salad was huge and full of lots of nice bits and pieces. We will certainly return for a meal here. Prices were good as well.

five seems like such a small number for such a fantastic place great food great stafe, and some great loacals..dealt with over two hundred bars,cafes, in the last ten years would not go past this one...

One of the best hotels in North Canterbury. Great hosts and friendly staff. The 'Brigitte' Burgers are the best in the disrict and are a must after a quiet beer. There is also a awesome garden bar with plenty of room for the kids including a play area and tree hut.

This place is absolutel awesome I live in Christchurch and often make the drive out just to go this restaurant. The food is awesome and so is the service it's just an all around great restaurant.you will not be disappointed!

The Irish Pub has reopened after earthquake and has meals at night monday to sunday and lunch from thursday to sunday,well worth a look and try some nice cooking

I must completely disagree with the previous review as i think the food and service we recieved was fabulous. My wife and i went in for dinner and was greeted by a warm and friendly waitress who not only made sure our order was taken promtly but we also never had to ask for a drink as they were always on hand to assist. My wife ordered the fish of the day and i had the steak which were both cooked to perfection and as for the desert we both struggled to choose from the great choice but ended up deciding on the cheesecake which was great, oh and i also forgot to mention that the starters we recieved were a great start to a great evening out. The only other thing i wish to add is that i found the whole experience fantastic and my wife and i will definatley be dining there again soon because the atmosphere in the pub was very warm and welcoming.

Stunning surroundings, the food is very good both cabinet and a la carte. Very big portions. The coffee is Allpress, this far away from Auckland must show a genuine interest in a quality product.
